Colonial literature charts the path the colonists made from England to the New World to establish America. The early settlements struggles and triumphs were recorded in personal diaries and histories of the settlements. The Puritans were driving by their religious faith which provided them with the strength to survive the dangers of a new land and the joy to enjoy the adventure.
